Here is some strong meat that a brother of mine here in Dallas sent recently. It may take a little more effort to read and you might get a bit challenged with some of the terms and concepts, but this is well worth the time spent. Meditate on His word, you will not be sorry...

"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore your eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if your eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!” (Mt 6:21-23)
It seems each article we send starts with Christ in you, ending with the same Subject. This one is no different, so if you are looking for a new or different subject you can stop reading now, for these three verses are fully about Christ in you! Most profound verses, pregnant with life, challenge the understanding. “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” So, what is your treasure? Whatever your treasure, there will be your heart also. We can make treasure of most anything. What and where that treasure is can be as numerous as the number of enticing things in the world. Or, our Treasure is Christ in you, the hope of glory! “…we have this treasure in earthen vessels [in us], that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us” 2 Co 4:7. “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh” Lu 6:45. “And Jesus said unto him… none is good, save one, that is, God” Lu 18:19.
“The light of the body is the eye: if therefore your eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.” Christ is the true Light, which enlightens every man that cometh into the world (Joh 1:9). The single eye has one focus! Seeing Christ within fills the whole body full of light! The extent and duration of that focus, and how often one returns to focus again when interrupted is directly related to the mind. Saints, a disciplined mind is of great value! “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” 2Ti 1:7. A sound or a disciplined mind is a focused mind, but “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways” Jas 1:8. “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…” Ro 12:2. How is the mind renewed and disciplined? Mainly through submission: breaking of the outer man, the releasing of the spirit! But also through scripture amassed in the storehouse of our heart! Christ dwelling in a disciplined heart summons up the perfect words to be spoken, perfect for the moment! “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver” Pr 25:11.
“If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!” Tragically, far too many who love the Lord do not know the Lord is in them and do not know the Lord is their life! If you know Christ only outside you, the Light that is in you is darkness to you; the absence of the Light of His presence! But for you dear saints I pray better things. I pray the eye be single, the body be full of light, as we behold the Treasure in our hearts and manifest Him as the light of life (Joh 8:12).
